When surgery day arrived I was my heaviest weight ever-349lbs. My surgery was very difficult and I faced numerous complications, however I made so many wonderful friends I cannot even begin to thank them for their love and support. Today approx. 2 1/2 years out I have lost about 180lbs. I would love to loose a few more , but if I can continue to maintain I will be satisfied.(I know I did something right when a personal trainer/gym teacher asked me out on a date!) So many people have had the surgery in the last year doing so wonderful, no complications and feeling fine. Always remember so not let anyone tell you we took the easy way out. We all made a decision, the tool was given to us and now we must maintain what we have accomplished. The surgery is only half the battle. I continue to struggle daily trying to find internal peace and happiness, and despite my course of events, I would not go back and change who I have become! Best Wishes to all of you that choose this path. Be strong and I am sure you will be on your way to a new healthier you!
